What is Fleetwood Mac: The Chain about?
Apple describes the film as a definitive and unprecedented look at the band’s story, told through the voices, memories, and perspectives of the members themselves. Specifically, it covers Fleetwood Mac’s history of more than 50 years. In addition to highlighting their legendary music, the documentary explores their changing relationships and their lasting influence.

The film features:

Mick Fleetwood

John McVie

Why is it called The Chain?
The title comes from “The Chain,” the 1977 song from Rumours. It’s the only song on the album credited to all five band members. Rumours turns 50 next year, so the film’s timing fits well.
The director
Frank Marshall is an Oscar-nominated filmmaker. His past work includes a documentary on The Beach Boys, and Apple’s announcement also mentions From the Earth to the Moon.
A new chapter for the band?
Buckingham, who was fired from the band in 2018, said in August that working on the documentary helped repair relationships among the members. He stopped short of predicting a reunion, saying only that “next year should be a pretty interesting year.”
Is there a trailer?
Not yet. Apple posted a short teaser on X on October 22, and a full trailer hasn’t been released at the time of writing.
Where to watch Fleetwood Mac: The Chain
